Here's a little info on why I am making the Spiral jewellery/offering bowls. As well as being on the Autistic Spectrum, my daughter has Anxiety and OCD tendencies.... during the Summer she reached the top of the waiting list and has been having therapy, a combination of CBT and ERP... it has changed her life already. She still has a long way to go but she is getting there. It's obvious that the local Youth Mental Health Services are horribly understaffed and underfunded. Hence why I started making the Spiral stuff... currently 25% of the profit will be given to this facility, my way of saying thank-you for helping my daughter, although it's a tiny donation in the bigger scheme of things, at least it's something.
Why Spirals? Well, I've always figured stuff like depression is like travelling a Spiral... when things are bad it's a downward Spiral... with help and support that can be changed into an upward one..
